Moving away from home has been invaluable for me. I have now spent almost 3 years in Nashville, with a short but amazing stint in NYC. However, home for me will always be California. It’s where I grew up, spent the first 18 years of my life, and mostly, it’s where my family is. There is truly nothing like going home, seeing the ocean, the mountains, our cities. I’m biased but I freaking love where I’m from and I bet the person who wrote the opposite quote is from CA.
